Drama Play offers fun and stimulating drama education to children from primary years upwards. Through regular drama clubs, one-off workshops, lunch clubs and holiday activities we aim to develop young people's creative skills. Drama Play is centred around sensitivity to children and the importance of positive feedback to improve self-confidence.
Kate is a professional actress, who trained at Guildford School of Acting on the Musical Theatre course, and London Studio Centre. She has worked in the West End in shows as diverse as Blood Brothers and Phantom of the Opera. She also appeared in her own cabaret in Soho, singing a wide musical theatre repertiore. Since moving to Devon in 2003, Kate has been working as a children's entertainer, under her other company party play.
As a child, Kate was lucky enough to be taught drama by a wonderful teacher, Suzie Burns, and it was these formative years which shaped her love of theatre and gave her the confidence to follow her dream of becoming an actress. Kate dedicates her work in Drama Play to the memory of Suzie.
