Derek is professional and worth every penny.<br>Derek drawings are detailed to the point I was able to understand them, which gave me confidence that the builders would not have a problem following them. We had an unexpected issue when going through what was thought were the foundations. I called Derek and explained the issue and he came over to the property that evening and put my mind at ease. Derek sent me the revised drawing the next day with no additional cost. Derek came over to my property on three separate occasions and always happy to advise where necessarily.<br>I have recommended Derek to my work colleagues and friends and my builder has also recommended Derek to his clients.

We have been carrying out some fairly substantial alterations to a late Georgian cottage in Esher. As so often in such projects, the work has involved a number of changes of tack as we discover, and need to respond to, a variety of hidden structural defects amassed over two hundred years of piecemeal alterations and decay. The whole SSA Team has proven extremely helpful in this process - quick to respond, flexible, efficient and incredibly thoughtful in coming up with practical solutions to fit both our technical needs and our budget.<br>Not just myself, but our architect and contractor have been thoroughly impressed by SSA's professionalism and skills. I can honestly say that in my experience SSA have provided us with 100% good value. Just as an afterthought I have also been impressed by the way Derek has given time to involve his trainees and, by extension, non-specialist like myself, in the thinking and planning process.

When asked, Derek Mason was able to visit our property twice in quick succession and drafted detailed reports of his findings extremely quickly. We had a complicated building project that consisted of a garden room adjacent to a boundary wall that needed underpinning, a loft conversion and a rear kitchen extension that were being built by a loft and extension company. I was not happy with what they were doing on site - particularly when we were told we were going to have to pay for expensive underpinning, seemingly without proper evaluation.<br><br>I was already concerned about certain aspects of what they were doing and wanted a professional independent expert opinion on this and contacted Derek Mason of Super Structures Associates. Derek attended site at short notice (which was essential), he quickly assessed the situation and then explained to the contractor what he should do and how he should be constructing the various elements.<br><br>It was such a relief to have Derek assisting us with this difficult project and it gave us the confidence that everything would be done properly. Super Structures visited site on two further occasions to ensure that everything was being done correctly.
