Once work was underway we also requested a site inspection to ensure compliance of installed beams, padstones and joists to the design and drawing.<br><br>Our main contact was Derek Mason who was very professional and easy to work with. The work schedule and all applicable fees were agreed up front, all work was completed in a timely fashion with no surprises. He worked well with our architect, project manager and building contractor. His experience and expertise meant that any ad hoc queries were quickly and effectively dealt with.<br><br>We would have no hesitation in recommending Super Structure Associates.

Derek Mason of SSA assessed our flat for how safe it would be to remove a partial wall in our kitchen. We needed to know if it was load bearing and would have any impact on the structure of our building. Derek did a thorough inspection of the property and was able to provide us with the reassurance we needed that the work could be safely carried out.<br><br>Derek is clearly an expert in his field and I have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone who needs a structural engineer. He is thorough, knowledgeable and very friendly.

The findings of a HomeBuyer surveyor required assessment of a chimney structure by a structural engineer in order for the lender to lend against the property. Having located SSA, Derek and I engaged and it was obvious that SSA knew what they were talking about. This was considered a small project for them and they attended promptly (within 48 hours), maintaining open comms with us during the process. Subsequent to this, and due to pressure from our seller, SSA produced their findings in a 70 page report, presenting 2 viable options to rectify the issue. This was delivered 3 days ahead of schedule aiding us greatly and putting our sellers mind at ease.<br><br>It was a pleasure dealing with SSA and we are grateful for their speedy turnaround. SSA understood that the process of purchasing a home and having to deal with these unforeseen obstacles could/can be stressful enough and took steps to alleviate this. Thank you SSA.

We met Derek last Autumn when we engaged his Firm, SSA, to undertake structural calculations for us, on a 1930s Art Deco flat that we had purchased in Roehampton.<br><br>He duly completed his detailed calculations and sent us an entire set of drawings and calculations back in November 2017.<br><br>However, only now in March 2018, are we getting around to finalising our refurbishment plans. And when we realised we needed some slight modifications (to our original brief to SSA), our architect contacted Derek, who immediately (without any additional charges) made the necessary recalculations, and emailed us back a complete set of drawings and calculations.<br><br>I have absolutely no hesitation in referring SSA to anyone who needs a local Structural Engineer.
