An established family run restaurant with great food and service. Would recommend it highly, but hope the owners read this review and do something about the bread - a minor detail, I know, but needs to be addressed!

The meal was delicious. The house wine was perfect, the bread fresh and soft and the entré delightful. The co-owner who served us was attentive but not intrusive. All at a reasonable price. I wish I lived closer so that I could repeat the experience.

Anyone living locally or from further afield should try El Rincon. The food is absolutely delicious with wonderful fresh tapas, generous paella plus lots of other choice including some lovely steak and chicken dishes. The wine list is interesting and affordable and the owners and staff really welcoming.

Great family run restaurant. Top class food from starters all the way to deserts. Everybody is very attentive and cares about each individual's lunch/dinner. Get yourself there :)

A lovely friendly restaurant serving good quality food whether it's tapas, set menu or a la carte. Lucky to have it as a local restaurant.

A genuine warm welcome on arrival. Shown to table. If you want a drink, the choice is yours and you are not sat in the bar forcing you to have a drink prior to your meal. Food and variety delicious - it is hard to know what to eat; service excellent, staff all friendly, atmosphere is really nice. You are not rushed and can enjoy a leisurely meal. We are looking forward to our visit on 25 November...

A table for 2 turned into a table for 4, but that was not a problem to the friendly waiter. He was attentive to our group and nothing was too much trouble for him. I was there with 2 visually impaired people, who felt spoilt by the attention they received.
The food was delightful, flavoursome and the portions were of a great size.We were a noisy group and on preparing to leave the restaurant, I apologised for our noise and the disruption we coursed, the waiter told us there was no need to apologise and that we were all welcome back anytime.

We have been living in Epsom Downs for over 20 years and El Rincon's continues to be our favourite restaurant. This is not a fast food outlet. You go here for the complete dining experience. Yes when its busy, sometimes you have to wait, but the waiting is well worth it and your table is yours for the entire evening. In reading some of the other critical reviews, it appears that a small number of people find the service slow? well boo hoo, if you want serving two minutes after you arrive, go to MacDonald's. Perhaps you'll find their salt filled burgers more to your taste. However, if you want something just that little bit special, give El Rincon's a try, I promise, you will not be disappointed. (Try the Garlic & Cream Prawns for starters.) If I have any criticism at all, it would the menu. They could do with changing it occasionally, or perhaps offering 'specials'. If your on a budget, then stay away, this is not the restaurant for you. Basic meals are priced about average, but add on wine, dessert, coffee etc... don't expect much change out of £100. Even so, you'll need to book, especially on Fridays and Saturdays. (PS. Paella to die for!!!)

A truly wonderful gem among so many imitations. I would say traditional Spanish cuisine so don't expect silly foam and other nonsense. And the prices won't get you foaming at the mouth either. You come here for quality freshly cooked food so it's not instant, so if you haven't learnt by now that good things are worth waiting for then this is a very good place to start! Carlos welcomes all with genuine Galician warmth and I want to thank him and all the family. Evening 3 course meal for 2 from set menu and a bottle of house white is under £50 including a tip that is richly deserved. No service charges here, just genuine people and genuine food! Viva El Rincon
