The Battle is over!
This morning we have been informed that Tesco will be selling the Ashtead site in The Village! Hence there will not be a new Tesco store being built in Ashtead. This is one of 49 new schemes that Tesco has cancelled. Tesco are also selling 46 existing stores.
Tesco say they will work with the local council, in deciding what is best for the site.
The plan to develop the community garden will carry on.
