It's beginning to feel a lot like Christmas with various events and activities taking place across Epsom and Ewell.

Start your countdown with the borough's official lights switch-on event,

'The Spirit of Christmas' at Epsom Market Place on Thursday 22 November from 4-8.30pm.

The event features family fairground rides, Santa's grotto, a giant selfie snow globe, yummy festive treats, mulled wine, live entertainment throughout the evening and lots more!

The stage sponsored by Epsom & Ewell Families will showcase local talent with performances from 4pm onwards by Ambition School of Dance, Surrey Dance Addicts, Starstruck Dance Academy, Terri-Jayne's School of Dance, Stagecoach Epsom, Dandelion Theatre Arts, Protegem and Lucie Benson school of Dance.

Father Christmas and the Mayor of Epsom & Ewell, Councillor Neil Dallen will switch on the Christmas tree and Clock Tower lights at 7pm. This year's event will raise funds for the charity, Epsom Riding for the Disabled.

Some of the Christmas events taking place across Epsom and Ewell:

Santa's Christmas Party! Epsom Playhouse

Saturday 8 - Monday 24 December

It looks as though somebody wants to stop Santa's Christmas party - and that someone is Jack Frost! A 45 minute interactive family show, particularly suitable for 2 - 7 year olds.

Jack the Beanstalk - Epspm Playhouse

Friday 14 December - Sunday 6 January

The pantomimes at the Epsom Playhouse just get better and better. This year it’s a ‘giant’ of a show; packed full of slapstick, corny jokes, stunning dancers, beautiful singing and real panto mayhem! This ‘traditional modern’ Jack and the Beanstalk promises something for everyone, a real family treat!

Christmas Memorial Service - Epsom Cemetery Chapel

Friday 14 December; 11am

A service for those who like to remember lost loved ones as Christmas approaches. This service is not a traditional religious service though, there will be some familiar Christmas music.

Free parking for Christmas!

Parking in the Council's shoppers’ car parks in Epsom will be free in the three Sunday's before Christmas - 9, 16 and 23 December in the Ashley Centre, Town Hall, Hope Lodge, Depot Road and Upper High Street car parks.
