Epsom & Ewell Foodbank Friday Foods – the items the Foodbank are short of this week @EpsomFoodbank
20th December 2019

When you do your shopping this week please keep in mind the Foodbank – helping people in times of crisis

The Foodbank provides local people with necessities, not luxuries. It allows people to collect the basic necessities they need to live.

This week 20th December the following items are needed:

I hope that you are well and enjoying the lead up to any planned festivities.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your amazing support this year. I know it has been said before but we really couldn't do what we do without your support. We have seen an unprecedented number of people over the last few weeks and due to your generosity we have enough food to ensure that everyone of them will have food and Christmas gifts.

We had an amazing response to our Christmas Appeals so many of the people we see will have fresh food to eat on Christmas Day and the means to cook it. This will make such a difference to so many people and will hopefully enable them to have a slightly happier Christmas.

Our office/warehouse closes today and will not reopen until 2nd January 2020. This ensures that our very hardworking volunteers get a well earned break. Our centres will continue to open as usual so people will still have access to emergency food should they need it.

We will not be taking any donations until Wednesday 8th January. This will enable us to re organise after the Christmas rush.

I know that many of you need our list for your newsletters so the following are items we are still short of or can always use -

Sugar - preferably 500g bags

Tinned meat, pies etc

Dried milk

Cooking sauces

Instant coffee

Long life sponge puddings

Shaving foam

Nappies - size 6 and size 6 + only

Tinned veg including sweetcorn

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year

Best wishes

Many thanks for your continued support
