When you do your shopping this week please keep in mind the Foodbank – helping people in times of crisis
The Foodbank provides local people with necessities, not luxuries. It allows people to collect the basic necessities they need to live.
This week 15th November the following items are needed:
Our amazing team continue to sort through the very generous Harvest Festival donations. We are also preparing for our Christmas food collection at Tesco's in Leatherhead
Whilst we have a very good stock of most items we are still short of a few -
Sanitary towels - not tampons.
We are also taking donations in respect of our various Christmas Appeals as follows -
1. Vouchers for fresh food so that people can cook a Christmas lunch in their own home for their family and friends. This was a huge success last year and the feedback from people getting the vouchers was very positive. The vouchers were for use in local butchers and greengrocers, so it also helped the local community in a different way as well.
2.One off top up to energy key cards so that people have gas/electricity to cook their lunch and warm their homes
3. A wish list of specific items as below -
New hot water bottles
New thermos travel mugs
New sets of matching mugs
Monetary donation towards our Fresh Christmas Dinner Appeal ( see 1 above)
Monetary donation towards our Winter Energy Appeal.(see 2 above)
Please feel free to contact me with any questions
Many thanks for your continued support
