When you do your shopping this week please keep in mind the Foodbank – helping people in times of crisis
The Foodbank provides local people with necessities, not luxuries. It allows people to collect the basic necessities they need to live.
This week 13th September the following items are needed:
We continue to be very busy and only this week fed 38 people at one centre. As you an imagine this is having an impact on our food stocks with some items being in very short supply. Your continued support has always been appreciated but never as much as now.
Please see our current wish list below - (The items in bold are our most needed items)
Cereal - not porridge
Long life fruit juice
Long life sponge puddings
Tinned meat pies
Small bags of sugar
Peanut butter/chocolate spread
UHT milk - Semi skimmed and full fat
Washing up liquid
Clothes washing powder/liquid
Chocolate, sweets, crisps etc
Nappies - size 6 only
We also need heavy duty carrier bags/ bags for life.
Please note that our next fundraising event is a curry night at Tamarind Spice, Ewell on the 17th September. The cost is £20 per person for a set menu. This is a very popular event so if you would like to come I would recommend that you let me know as soon as possible to avoid disappointment. there are currently a few tickets available.
Many thanks for your continued support
