FSB is a real eye-opener!
There is so much value that you simply won't have enough time to explore it all fully. What you do use will repay your small subscription fee many times over. Within 3 months we had more than paid for 2 annual memberships in savings and priceless peace of mind. A month later the strategies we had implemented as a result of joining were bringing in new revenue as well.

I rarely need the services of the FSB, but on the occasion when I did, due to a employment law matter, they were excellent. I received clear advice that helped me to deal with my problem and which reduced my anxiety enormously.

My local regional development manager, Stuart Hallett has been very helpful at connecting me with a very experienced marketing consultancy partnership. There is a great relationship building between my small business and this new venture as they are moving into the sustainable business space.
Outside of this, I have benefited from the FSB connection with local councillors and have been invited to join a regional policy development forum with a focus on the Environment. I am happy to contribute to the formulation of some progressive policy and business recommendations. Especially in the area of hemp, carbon sequestration and new product development using natural materials.

In the many years I've been an FSB member, I've attended countless events (in person and, more recently, online), and made a number of valuable business contacts.
FSB representatives are always happy to help, and have also provided invaluable insight over the past 15 months during COVID-19 (the FSB themselves have also undertaken considerable lobbying on behalf of small businesses during lockdown, which has ensured we received much-needed financial assistance from the government).
I'm delighted with the service and benefits provided by the FSB, and renew every year without hesitation.

Whilst COVID has certainly NOT been a friend of small business over the past year, the FSB certainly has.
As a small, independent retailer, we (like many) spend our working life in a bubble and are not used to being thrown into a world of disruption, where we are constantly looking for answers.
Throughout the pandemic, the FSB has kept in constant contact, with timely information about being COVID safe, to when we should be applying for the next Government grant. Together with the practical support that we received from our Local Authority & Town Council, the FSB have truly been a friend indeed

Fantastic organisation for networking with small businesses across the UK through their free online meetings. They have lots of resources and support for small business, and working closely with national bodies and the government to ensure small businesses are represented fairly in response to crisis and long term policy changes.

The FSB is phenomenal tool for business of any size or shape up to its limit of 250 employees. The toolkits they have available, the business networking and the lobbying of government is all superb. Sometimes a small business owner can feel they are to small to matter - but most of the business's in the UK have less than 250 employees and therefore makes up the largest workforce - its only right we have our say and support that a large business has and the FSB offers exactly that. I personally thought I would not get much benefit from the FSB other than networking, but I was so wrong.

We joined FSB a week ago and have been impressed by the resources available. I expect to have recovered my initial fee in the use of the H&S policy docs and legal docs. I have been a member for a few weeks now and the service is fantastic. I have attended a few free events that they have put on which have all been great.
The service access make the membership a no-brainer. There are lots of documents, legal advice and access, as well as the banking and insurance services.
The support network is also great and they are very easy to contact. Would highly recommend!

Alison Miles was personable and delivered the workshops very professionally. The content was pitched at the right level and incredibly useful - we don't often get time to stop and think about things like our leaderships styles, change management etc when we're heads down, running of our businesses day to day. The small group made it a friendly environment in which to discuss the issues and share our own experiences. Loved getting to know everyone else on the course. Great for the FSB to be offering these types of workshops in partnership with UWE - more like this please!

I have been a member for around 7 years and I feel it is a no brainer. The events are excellent, legal access invaluable and further business support a real excellent. It is great to know there is an organisation lobbying government on behalf of small businesses, giving us all a voice.
