The new name of the nursery will be Rainbow Garden Nurseries.

James Petit, Founder and Owner of Rainbow Gardening, said: “We are delighted to have been able to expand our business with Farm Lane Nursery. We have some very exciting plans and have already added a new houseplant section. We look forward to welcoming customers – both old and new – this festive season.”

Rainbow Gardening was established 20 years ago, offering gardening services across Surrey and South London, including landscaping, maintenance and garden design. It has 25 staff.

The garden nursery in Ashtead, Surrey was founded in 1975, and offers an exceptional range of high quality, own-grown plants and a range of hanging baskets that are planted up early in the spring and brought on in the glasshouses. They make the ideal stunning addition to any garden.

Rainbow Garden Nurseries also sells antique items sourced from all over the country which are perfect as planters and decoration for the garden. So if you're looking for chimney pots, fire buckets, wheels, garden tools, bathtubs, stone sinks, chicken feeders and so much more, this is the place for you!

Plants

You'll find an outstanding array of own grown hardy plants available throughout the year at Rainbow Garden Nurseries.

Regular visits to the nursery are thoroughly recommended so you can see first hand the amazing selection of plants in their full glory.

Junk and Disorderly

That's an affectionate reference to the eclectic stock that's available on site!

Rainbow Garden Nurseries prides itself on sourcing items that will genuinely look good in any garden. You'll find many items have been around for some time, have a history, and lend themselves perfectly to unusual planters and features in the garden.

These include:

  • Galvanised Items
  • Wheels
  • Chimney Crooks
  • Cook Pots
  • Grindstones
  • Sack Hoists
  • Chimney Pots
  • Bird Baths

Decorative items

Stoneware Rainbow Garden Nurseries holds stock of stoneware from over seven suppliers, and continues to expand their range. You'll no doubt find examples of stoneware that you won't be able to find at other garden centres!

Garden Benches You'll find a range of unique old Garden Benches that are restored to their former glory by the Rainbow Garden Nursery team. This is done by cleaning and repainting all the metalwork, then refurbishing the bench using locally sourced oak, cherry, or other hardwoods. All timber is treated with a preservative.

The benches are truly unique as they're individual one-offs and many blacksmith made dating back to the turn of the 19th century. They are not only very comfortable but will also add character to your garden!

Mirrors There's always a great selection of garden mirrors held in stock which will help bring extra light to your garden!

Vases and Planters You'll find an excellent range of teak vases and planters that can be used both indoors and outdoors!

Tools Choose from an excellent selection of old English made garden tools such as border forks, trowels, rakes and hoes. Makes include Elwell, Brades, Spear and Jackson, Skelton.

And if you have any old garden tools yourself, they're always wanted!

If you're looking for something in particular Rainbow Garden Nurseries may be in a position to source any specific requirements you may have, just give them a call on 01372 274400!
