Worrying rates of Women's drinking?

The Daily Mail today states that women are now drinking nearly as much as men, despite the health risks. This is reported in the  medical journal BMJ Open.

The NHS tells us that nine million people drink more than the recommended maximum daily intake, and that a fifth of women drink to hazardous levels.

Alcohol is a known risk for cancers of the bowel, liver, larynx and oesophagus, as well as increasing the risk of strokes, heart disease and brain damage.
