Professor Louis Appleby, National  Director of Mental Health, recently suggested that the country's streets are awash with skunk cannabis ( Daily Mail 20.6.11 )

What does this mean to the people of Ealing? We already know that cannabis raises the risk of psychosis. Users can become anxious, panicky, suspicious, and

paranoid.

But there is now an added danger which is life threatening. The government backed Drugwatch reported last week that dealers were selling skunk that is laced with heroin (without informing users). This is done to make the skunk even more addictive. But the danger is that users may overdose without realising what they are doing.

So,whilst it might seem almost harmless to some - a joint may contain far more than they expect.
