If you’re struggling to find things to do with the kids this summer, you should take a trip to Walpole Park and Rickyard Education Centre in Ealing where you will find something going on every weekend:

Sunday June 7th - 11am-4pm: The Big Lunch Vegetable Carnival

This year’s Big Lunch will have a Brazilian theme and samples of tasty food prepared by chef-in-residence Roberta Siao as well as music by Brazilarte and story-telling by Akuba.

Saturday June 13th - 10am-5pm: Wild about Walpole and Ealing Extra

A family-friendly one-day event with activities, music and market stalls. Our Big Gig EXTRA will be showcasing local bands, offering music workshops and performances.

The parks team will be offering tours, wildlife activities and nature walks.

Saturday June 20th – 2pm-5pm: Hidden Worlds Workshop

Karen Tang returns to the park for a drawing-based workshop, using a computer microscope to view small wonders of nature from material collected in the park.

Saturday June 20th - 6pm (for 6.30 start): Cedrus Maximus Artist’s Talk

This will be followed by a special late-night opening of the Rickyard, with readings from George Adams’ Essays On The Microscope (1797) by Karen Tang. Karen will be providing an insight into her newly-commissioned work, inspired by one of the first publications on optical botany.

Fancy some activities in the park? Then go along and have lots of fun!
