If you’re looking for the best cream tea in Ealing, or indeed West London, you need look no further than the DoubleTree by Hilton next to Ealing Common.

While an afternoon tea in central London may set you back between £40 and £50, the ‘Double Tea’ is exceedingly good value at only £15.  If you want to make it a little more special, you can pay an extra £5 to add a DoubleTree cookie cocktail or a glass of champagne.

Some people argue that the most important aspect of a cream tea is the tea itself. If that’s what you feel,  you won’t be disappointed as the DoubleTree stocks a wide range of loose leaf teas from Tea Palace.

The food itself doesn’t disappoint.  Your afternoon tea arrives on an unusual wooden stand and comprises a range of sandwiches on a variety of different breads.  Fruit scones with jam and clotted cream and a selection of cakes complete the tea.  Fans of the DoubleTree cookie will be pleased to know that it makes a welcome appearance!

What makes the afternoon tea such exceptional value is that that friendly staff are more than happy to bring you further sandwiches, scones or cakes for no extra cost.  Delicious food, restful environment and friendly staff - this truly is a wonderful experience.
