Hypnotic Gastric Band News

The Mail On Sunday today publishes on a row about Paul Mckenna's new Hypnotic Gastric Band App. The app costs £4.99, and PM is said to claim that hypnosis represents a scientifically proven method of shedding pounds. But doctors are quoted  as saying that he gives a false impression of the results they will see.

Dr. Carel Le Roux, a leading physician at London's Imperial College Obesity Service, is quoted as saying - "Hypnosis isn't powerful enough to be effective in the long term"

Regarding scientific proof, Yorkshire Media Limited published, in January  2004, the results of a survey of 4000 clients, receiving the Hypnotic Gastric Band over two years. The average weight loss was 24.64lbs

Effective Hypnosis is fortunate enough to have direct experience of people who have tried both PM's recordings and had advice from Dr. CLR. Both have been criticised as not treating people as individuals, with individual problems.

The Hypnotic Gastric Band can be effective, but it needs to be bespoke - tailored to the individual - so you need to physically go and see a hypnotherapist for sessions.

Effective Hypnosis runs a local service for weight loss, of which the Hypnotic Gastric Band is a part -not the whole. For information, please see www.effectivehypnosis.co.uk and some of the testimoials on this site.
