The journal Neuroscience, in May 2018, reports that depression affects 300 milion people worldwide. They state that scientists think that depression occurs because people lack two chemicals - serotonin and norepinephrine(NE). 90% of drugs are based on this idea - artificially boosting chemicals in the bloodstream.
