Mencap have a city centre collection in Durham on Saturday 1st August.
They are struggling to find volunteers to help out on the day to collect. They would really appreciate any help you can offer, even if it’s for an hour on the day.
Mencap will be collecting from 11am - 4pm on the day - and if you are able to help them out you can pick what time suits you best and collect for as long as you can afford.
Mencap gets one Durham collection for the year and they raise vital funds for the charity. They would be very grateful if you might be able to help in some way or know someone that might be interested in helping out on the day.
Mencap is the leading UK Charity dedicated to supporting people with a learning disability.
Here in the North East they provide a range of services to support an estimated 52,000 children and adults with a learning disability, together with their families and carers.
