The Grosvenor Park Miniature Railway was built in 1996 to commemorate the centenary of the Duke of Westminster's railway at nearby Eaton Hall and is conveniently located only a few minutes walk from Chester city centre.
This is one of the most child-friendly tourist attractions and children just love to ride on the Grosvenor Park Miniature Railway, which operates in the beautiful surroundings, complete with a long wooden bridge, pond with ducks, moorhens and the additional attraction of a noisy white goose.
The railway also has two level crossings, a station building, which acts as a rain shelter, and an engine shed to house the steam and diesel trains.
Diesel and steam trains operate on weekends and school holidays throughout the year. The ride is approximately Â¼ mile long and fares are reasonable. The railway also has a small souvenir shop.
