Road Works coming to Chepstow
AMEC who are the main contractor for Wales and West Utilities (Gas). are proposing to undertake major works in the Chepstow area in February, March, April, May and June 2012. The works will incorporate renewing the gas mains via an insertion method. This method reduced the amount of excavation in the public highway. However the works will mean that road closures and traffic lights are inevitable.
The list of highways that will be affected are :-
1. Steep Street (Feb/Mar 12)
2. Moor Street (Feb/Mar 12)
3. Lower Church St (April – June 12)
4. Upper Church St (April – June 12)
5. St Marys Street (April – June 12)
A public information meeting is being held sometime late Jan/early Feb, but will be confirmed once a venue has been booked. At the meeting full details will be made available. We will attempt notify you when the meeting is taking place once booked.
