On Monday 12th March Highview Garden Centre located on the A48 road just outside of Blakeney is to open its gates to the public for the first time. This is the brainchild of local husband and wife team Richard and Natalie Martyn.

Located on the site of a previous similar enterprise, Highview will initially be offering a wide range of plants to include bedding, some early perennials, shrubs, and a small selection of trees, herbs, alpines, roses and seeds.

There will also be available a small range of gardening equipment and other items such as tools, gloves, watering cans, lawn care along with an extensive choice of composts and pots.

Natalie says "We are aiming to reinstate a much missed garden centre and to provide for our community a friendly and helpful service to make gardening both fun and inspirational”.

Richard and Natalie have some very exciting plans for their business, details of which will be released in due course. They are committed to the local community and have already engaged with a good number of local suppliers and will continue to do so.

Their opening hours will be: 9.30am to 6.00pm Monday to Friday – 9.00am to 4.00pm Saturdays and 10.00am to 4.00pm on Sundays. So do call in and support this new local venture, you will receive a very warm welcome.

Our congratulations and best wishes to Richard and Natalie, it’s great for everyone to see a good local business emerge, particularly when it has such exciting aspirations.
