Two Gentlemen of Verona – and a dog!

If you believe Shakespeare’s work to be rather dull and the language incomprehensible then please take another look.  The Tobacco Company’s interpretation of the Two Gentlemen of Verona is light-hearted, entertaining and great fun.  It is a comedy based on love – that of good friends, in the lifelong friendship of Proteus and Valentine, and of romantic love – that of Proteus for Julia, and Valentine for Silvia. As with most comedies the path of love certainly does not run smoothly and that of course can be very entertaining.

The two servants – Speed and Launce – provide wit and clowning, and the presence of Launce’s dog Crab threatens to steal some of the scenes!

The Tobacco Company provide a very lively performance – so do go and enjoy yourself!
