The Everyman is delighted to welcome back the internationally renowned Kneehigh Theatre Company, who recently brought the hugely successful Brief Encounter to Cheltenham and whose other productions have included The Red Shoes and The Umbrellas of Cherbourg.
Wild Bride is told with the same mix of imaginative design and clever storytelling. It is a lyrical story with a brutal edge and a beating heart, the story of what happens when your father accidentally sells you to the devil!
Betrayed by her foolish father, our heroine walks into the wilderness, rejecting not only the Devil but also her home and trusting heart. In the wilds, she meets a Prince and becomes pregnant, but when he is called to war, her heart breaks as she is forced to step out on her own again.
Charting a life from girlhood to womanhood, you can expect instinctive storytelling, devilish humour and a heady mix of live and recorded music.
A grown up romance for brave children and adults alike.
