Show up and shine at the Midsummer Fiesta 2013!
12th March 2013
... Comments

The Midsummer Fiesta is an exciting one-day event showcasing local live bands, dance acts (and workshops), classic cars, sports displays, games for children, and a large and diverse market place.  The whole event is a celebration of all that is great and talented in the Cheltenham community.

This annual festival originated in 2009 although last year it unfortunately had to be cancelled at the last minute because the severe rainfall rendered the grounds unfit and unsafe for use. This was very disappointing for all concerned and the organising committee are determined that the Fiesta will go ahead this year – whatever the weather!

While this year’s event will include some popular aspects and performers from previous years there also one or two new surprises planned. The Fiesta is a chance for local people to showcase their talents so if you are a local band or a performer of any kind then you are invited to apply to play at the Midsummer Fiesta on Saturday 6th July.  Unusual acts are welcome as long as they are appropriate for family audiences.

If you would like to be considered to perform please send your contact details along with a short biography to: andyhayes@hwnp.org.uk or call Andy Hayes on 01242 548294.  A link to examples of your work would also be useful. The deadline for your application is Sunday 7th April, and the successful candidates will be notified by the selection panel by the end of April.

As the Midsummer Fiesta relies on sponsorship and volunteer support to function we would love to hear from anyone wishing to be involved as a volunteer or stall holder.  Similarly if you would like to be a business sponsor please visit www.midsummerfiesta.com for more information and contact details.  Alternatively call Hannah Wright on 01242 775156

Please follow Cheltenham Midsummer Fiesta on Facebook, and @MidsummerFiesta on Twitter.
