If you’re in an at-risk group, make an appointment now for your annual flu jab. This highly infectious illness can cause complications for many people so check if you may be at risk:

•People aged 65 or over

•People who have a serious medical condition

•Pregnant women

Also regardless of your age, flu jabs are advised for people with:

• A chest complaint Breathing issues inc asthma, bronchitis and emphysema

• Serious kidney disease

• Diabetes

• Lowered immunity from various causes.

Flu jabs are available from your GP, practice nurse or even your local pharmacy. Larger employers may also provide them through onsite health services.

This is the best time of year to get protected according to advice from the NHS so get advice today and stay well this winter.
