Course Philosophy: This course will assist companies to comply with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 and the Fire Precautions (Workplace) Regulations 1999 and the Regulatory Reform Order (Fire & Safety) 2005.

 

Aim of the Course: A course aimed towards people who have a good knowledge of fire extinguishers or fire safety.  Either for personnel involved at a higher level with health and safety or for anyone wishing to gain a greater level of competence on this subject.

 

Course Syllabus: 

Description of the role of the Fire Warden
Implementation a floor sweep system for the safe evacuation of people from their workplace
Discussion of problems and hazards encountered during evacuation
The purpose of the fire drill
Implementation and audit of internal fire safety procedures
The importance of fire doors
Identification of fire prevention measures

 

Trainers
Qualifications:
 Our trainers are Emergency Services trained and hold qualifications in teaching and assessing.  They have many years practical experience in First Aid and Fire Safety. Their training is internationally recognised and undergoes continual assessment from the British Fire Brigade.  Mainpoint Fire Protection Ltd is also audited members of the British Fire Consortium who are set up to ensure fire industry standards.
