Who should attend? Nominated Emergency First Aiders, or anyone wanting comprehensive first aid training.

 

Course Philosophy: This course is designed to qualify participants as Emergency First Aid Persons at Work. An Emergency First Aid Person is someone who is able to identify and administer the appropriate first aid procedures in the event of an illness or emergency incident in the workplace

 

Course Syllabus:      Course content includes:  Duties of an Emergency First Aid Person, incident management, initial assessment, management of the unconscious casualty, recovery position, CPR (adults), choking, shock, heart attack, angina, bleeding, burns, fractures, strains, sprains, epilepsy, seizures, diabetes, eye injury, contents of first aid kit, record keeping, accident reporting and common workplace injuries.

 

Trainers

Qualifications:          Our HSE registered trainer is Emergency Services trained and holds qualifications in teaching and assessing.  He has many years practical experience in First Aid and Fire Safety and the training he undergoes himself is internationally recognised with continual assessment from the British Fire Brigade.  Mainpoint Fire Protection Ltd is also audited members of the British Fire Consortium whom are set up to ensure fire industry standards.

 

Price:                         £90.00 (plus VAT) per person which includes a light sandwich lunch

 

 

The course will be at The Old Patesians Association (01242 524 633)on Thursday 21st October 2010. Arrival should be at 9.15am for a 9.30 start. It should aim to finish at 4pm.
