The Bigger Printing Company is set to embrace new talent with the placement of a designer as part of Gloucestershire’s Graduate Challenge scheme.

The Graduate Challenge is an initiative from the Centre for Enterprise & Innovation at the University of Gloucestershire. The scheme places recent graduates in established local businesses to help them learn the skills they need in a supportive environment. Likewise businesses benefit from the fresh perspective and skills that the graduate brings.

Sebastian Stanley, Director for Bigger Printing, is keen to introduce an in-house designer to help extend the company’s range of services. Stanley comments: “At Bigger Printing we offer a huge amount of choice in the materials we provide and many of our clients need assistance in choosing the format that will give them maximum visual impact. The expertise of a specialist designer will help us to offer even better print consultancy, but also a more complete design-to-print service.”

Stanley also has high hopes for turning the placement into a permanent role within the business. “We’ve spent some time with our new graduate and he’s as excited as we are about the endless possibilities that this role presents. He’s seen our state of the art flatbed printing equipment and was amazed at the scope of our materials. It’s exactly what someone with his talent needs.”

The graduate challenge is the most recent example of Bigger Printing’s work to grow the business. Late last year Stanley invoked the support of growth consultancy, 2nd Head, to take Bigger Printing forwards and has since made important appointments in sales and production.
