Cheltenham’s future development – would you like to have your say?

The Cheltenham Plan will be used when deciding on planning applications, and the level of development growth to take place.  It will deal with issues specific to Cheltenham and support the work of the Cheltenham Development Task Force. It is also designed to protect and conserve the parks and gardens as well as Cheltenham’s building heritage.

Whether you live or work in Cheltenham you can have your say as to what you believe the plan should include. The outcome is likely to have an impact on the local environment, housing, transport, etc.

If you wish to read the consultation documents and have a say in the Cheltenham Plan go to the council website www.cheltenham.gov.uk/localplan and fill in the questionnaire. If you prefer you can pick up a copy of the questionnaire in your local library to complete and return by post to: Planning Policy Team, Cheltenham Borough Council, Municipal Offices, Promenade, Cheltenham GL50 9SA.

All views and comments will be considered by officers who will provide a response report on the council’s website, in the council offices and at local libraries. The comments will contribute to the preparation of the draft plan and this will form the second consultation stage which takes place in Spring 2014.

If you have any queries please call a member of the Planning Policy Team on 01242 264328.
