Cheltenham Optician gains rare award !!!

This extremely rare award is only put to Optometrists who have portrayed an extensive range of advanced skills in this specialised area of eye care. Clare submitted a portfolio of complex cases she had fitted, and underwent a lengthy oral examination with two world authorities to achieve the award

The President of the BCLA, William Thomas, presented the award in front of over 900 peers from all over the world at a banquet at the NEC in Birmingham as part of the annual BCLA conference, .

Clare works with her husband Keith in Cheltenham, where their eye care practice is already widely recognised for its high quality. In 2008 they were recognised as Highly Commended for their contact lens work in the National Eye Care awards.

Clare's future plans aim to develop her specialist area researching further into the role of contact lenses with children.
