Carolling in the streets of Cheltenham
13th December 2013

The first staff carol singing event took place last year and was a great success as more than thirty members of staff and councillors joined in. This year they are returning to sing well-known and loved Christmas carols alongside some more modern classics.  The carol singers will be around the town centre between 5pm and 6pm on Tuesday, 17th December.  If you would like to come and support them they would love you to join in!

Collections will be taken while the carollers are singing and proceeds will go to the Mayor’s three charities: Victim Support, Hester’s Way Neighbourhood Project, and Cheltenham Animal Shelter. More than £50 was raised for the charities last year and the Cheltenham Borough Carollers are hoping to raise even more this time.

Business Development Manager, Ken Dale, said: “Last year our carol singers did a fantastic job in raising money for the Mayor’s Charities, and this year we hope to raise more. We welcome people to come and watch us brave the cold conditions and give us some vocal support through the hour of singing.”
