Bath Road Tree Planting

The two trees will be Amelanchiers (variety Serviceberry).  These are to be planted in the front gardens of two properties in Bath Road to improve.  It is hoped this will have the effect of softening the aspect of the landscape. Five Amelanchiers were planted in local gardens as part of the first phase of the project last year..

Amelanchier trees were chosen as they flower for long periods in the spring and have good colour in the autumn season.  They grow to a height of about 4 metres and are multi-stemmed which means they create a gentle shade in summer.

It is hoped the new trees will make Bath Road a pleasanter and greener environment for residents and visitors alike.
