18 of us went for dinner last night (Saturday 27th Jan). We had a superb night.
The staff were great - always there if you needed something and very cheery & fun.
My Monkfish main course was perfect - a beautiful piece of fish, cooked just right and am dente veg to go with it. I had excellent profiteroles for desert - exactly as expected in an Italian restaurant - not like eating cardboard as is often the case elsewhere.
Absolutely fabulous night. Thank you Ill Palazzo team.

We were a large party of eighteen and had pre-ordered the first two courses. Our table wasn't quite ready but we didn't have to wait for more than ten minutes.All meals were served together and were hot and as ordered. The food was good and well presented. Everyone was happy with their choices and the desserts were very good. The service was friendly and efficient. Good value too.

Came here for a pre theatre dinner and chose it because of its proximity to the theatre. Very good menu with a lot to choose from. The food came quickly (they asked if we were going to the theatre) - the mains came out whilst our starters were being cleared. Normally I wouldn't like this but as we were seeing a show this was ok. Food very good and reasonably priced. Would come here again.

lovey first impression of restaurant, starters came we were very impressed they were delicious, then the main dish - POLLO ALLA CREMA
Supreme of chicken breast served with cream, fresh tarragon sauce - well this was not a supreme (no bone) it was flattened chicken with carrots and soggy sprouts and over salted potato scallops in a tasteless grey sauce - would not return

My first visit to this Italian, as someone who travels to Italy regularly, the food served here is really authentic Italian, a really friendly atmosphere and the food is not overpriced, good service, just the right amount of wait time, the house red is superb, I will definitely visit again

Took the family to our favourite restaurant again last sunday.amazing food. Superb atmosphere. Helpful friendly staff. Recommen il palazzo very very highly. A thoroughly enjoyable night. Meraviglioso.

Since I have tried il palazzo , its become our only Italian restaurant we dine, fantastic dinner again, no need to say to much, fresh, simple and tasty. Of course we will be back very soon

Ideal location for Chelmsford theatres. Extensive menu with authentic dishes and a good range of pizzas. Nice atmosphere, good food, reasonably priced. Worth revisiting

Went for a family birthday meal and we had a lovely experience, the food came out really quickly even though there was 6 of us and it all looked fresh and presented well. The staff made sure we were happy and attentive. Would definitely go back.
