Radio Chelmsford is a new digital radio station covering the city of Chelmsford and surrounding villages. It is a commercial radio station and not a community radio station run by volunteers. We are a station started by a group of young radio enthusiasts with the aim of creating a radio network which will provide modern and exciting entertainment to Radio listeners within the Chelmsford.

Radio listeners within the Chelmsford can now listen to a 24-hour service on DAB digital radio, with a full service online, on our new app and on smart speakers. We’re also broadcasting 24 hours, a day 7 days a week with a full service online, on our new app and on smart speakers.

Radio Chelmsford aims to provide high-quality music for listeners both young and old, who want to hear the latest hits from the 90s through to today, as well as local news, weather, entertainment and travel updates. We also offer local events and information about local issues around the world.

We aim to play music from all genres of music including rock, pop, hip hop and R&B – as well as some alternative rock music too! Our programming includes interviews with bands or musicians from all over the world – whether it be local or international artists you may not have heard of before!
