bck yrd golf is an amazing addition to Chelmsford you can put your feet up on the Big Bean bags lay back have some funky cocktails.
Also I enjoyed 2 crazy golf courses with friends, family it was a extraordinary experience i would definitely go back again. Staff are very welcoming great company made me feel at home

Visited Bck Yrd Golf for a Monday evening date for a bit of fun after dinner.
The member of staff at the bar was a delight, offering to make a choice of non-alcholic cocktails (which were great!), and whom we really enjoyed chatting to before and after we did the two golf courses.
The courses themselves are rather restrictive space-wise, so definitely better being just two of us rather than a group. All the wholes are very compact, but made to be difficult so that you don't whizz through them quickly unlike other crazy golf places, and we could take our time on them.
All in all, it's definitely not a high-end venue (much of the courses are made from "junk"), but if you're looking for something entertaining to do in Chelmsford with a relaxed atmosphere and a good chat at the bar, I would recommend.

What a brilliant little place! Created out of every day things and just so much fun! £10 for 18 holes is a good price too. Definitely recommended and would 100% go again! Thank you for the creative mind who thought this one up!

Fantastic little place, right in the heart of Chelmsford located across from popworld, great to go there chill out with some friends, play a bit golf and have a few drinks before heading out on the town

Visited on a Sunday afternoon. It is a good idea and definitely has potential but the equipment is not maintained and parts are really poor quality. For the price you're better off going to a pitch and putt or better sports bar.

Great fun, a welcome addition to Chelmsford!
Myself and my partner visited a few weeks ago. The staff are friendly and welcoming. There is a great drinks selection and themed cocktails. We played both courses which were small, but we were thoroughly entertained! So nice to see something different in the Chelmsford area. Does it compare to the plush, high-tech indoor golf experiences in London? No, but what do you expect for the low price these guys are charging! This is a relatively new business and there are some kinks to iron out, but I am sure once the customer and popularity grows, so will the business! Well done guys, keep up the good work!
(PS, If i could recommend anything, maybe plastic glasses when using the course, when we visited a guy smashed his glass and it proved a bit of a H&S issue)!

My self and and my wife visited back yard golf with our children on Saturday we all had a fantastic time . The staff where very friendly and help full my children had so much fun and we had a funny time we will return with friends and family for another round of golf I would like to say a big thank you to samuel the owner and his staff for making us feel welcome thank you Mr m madden

Very lovely atmosphere, great staff, everyone very friendly and welcoming, golf courses are amazing and they’ve used the space they had very efficiently!! Child friendly and if you’ve not got your children, great cocktails, definite go to place for pre drinks before going into town! Absolute favourite has to be the UV tunnel. Would go again anytime
