A late summer concert featuring an eclectic mix of solos, orchestral and choral pieces. The distinguished soloists include Andrea Kwade (soprano) Adam Gilbert (tenor), Annest Davies (harp) and Richard Dunster-Sigtermans (harpsichord).
Côr Teif will sing some 16th century French madrigals and songs set to words by Chaucer, Hardy and Christina Rossetti. In addition there will be Airs, Choruses and Dances from Purcell’s Fairy Queen, loosely based on Shakespeare’s Midsummer Nights Dream. The orchestra, comprising of the best players from our three counties and beyond, will set the scene with Purcell’s overture from The Tempest.
