The Lions, the Tennis and the Ashes

Well what a weekend of Sport - sadly Andy Murray didn't make the Wimbledon Final but Roger Federer did win his 15th Grand Slam in what I would describe as an epic rather than a classic match.

Also, the Lions truly roared and romped to a well deserved 9-28 victory.

Just returning to the tennis -  as a final passing shot - although the gladatorial contest went on for so long - the dominance of the two players serve meant that the rallies were not as entetaining as I would have liked but  I am probably just being picky!

So the eyes of sport lovers in Cardiff and beyond now turn to the mega event which is the First Test of the Ashes Series which takes place here in Cardiff at the Swalec Stadium commencing on Wednesday.

I will be there - so I will definitely blog on my experience of the first day of the first test match to be played in Wales!

Exciting stuff - I am going with a good friend of mine and we have ordered our packed lunch from best of clients EJ Catering - on every level I am sure we will not be disappointed.

The Swalec Stadium will officially become a test arena and all the hard work of so many to bring the Ashes to Cardiff will be rewarded with a landmark occasion.
