It had not been my intension to blog about yesterday but there was something I thought I would like to share with you..

It is really a recognition that the social responsibilty that everyone seems so keen to say has declined can sometimes be exaggerated.

What do I mean? Well, on Friday night I went for a quick walk around Roath Lake as I try to most days (it gets me out of the house, away from the computer and blows the cob webs away) and I noticed that someone had left a wrapped bunch of flowers on one of the memorial benches at the side of the lake. My point is that when I walked around the lake about 5.30pm on Sunday when the place was still heaving in the sunshine - nobody was sitting on the bench and the flowers were still there - not nicked!

Well, done the citizens of Cardiff - now I am not saying the flowers were fabulous such as those you can get from Rolfe's the Florist our clients in Splott but they could have been nicked as a cheeky gift by someone.

Another interesting observation on the same perambulation was that two benches had wet paint signs on - although clearly not still wet nobody sat on these two benches and respected that they had only recently been painted.

Have you noticed any examples in Cardiff where our young people in particular get an unjustified hard time?
