Cabinet Coup for Cardiff

I was away on my hols last week in North Wales (and yes the weather was mixed!).

Being on my hols I didn't follow the news for a week and I was amazed at learning on my return that Cardiff - well, the Swalec Stadium to be specific, had hosted a Cabinet Meeting.

I thought that was a pretty cool scoup for Cardiff and Wales.  They had obviously enjoyed the first Test and rather than cheer the boys on at Lord's to their historic win they were one step behind by being at the Swalec Stadium in Cardiff.  (No political point intended).

Anyway, going back to Prime Minister Brown and his gang I happened to be in conversation with with one of our clients Richard Francis of Capital Chauffeurs who had of course been involved in chauffeuring some of the key personnel involved (no names, no pack drill) while they were in Cardiff.  Now Richard has a great reputation  as you would expect of a bestof client but one of the difficulties he has is that he can't ask his clients for testimonials easily.  They are often celebrities or famous people from all walks of life.  He proudly protects all of his clients by his absolute decretion. That's a real shame as he is first class at looking after whoever he works for whether it is a run of people to the airport or a household name.

So then I was thinking how did the cabinet office find Richard perhaps it was on the best of Cardiff - well, you never know.

Either way it is great for Richard , good for Cardiff and another coup for the Swalec Stadium.  Do we think it is a good thing for Cabinet meetings to be held outside No 10?  Probably.
