The Old Coach and Horses, Canterbury

This has recently changed hands and the new landlord (Glen Richards) promises great things, he previously worked for his father (Tony Richards) at the Chapter Arms, in Chartham Hatch, then sucessfully ran the Compass'Inn at Crundale, before finally cooking at the White Horse at Boughton. When the previous licensee left abbruptly there was grave concern in the village that it would become either student acommodation or a curry house - both of which have thanks to Glen Richards taking over been avoided. With the help of a really friendly team of staff, and his Dad helping out when he can, this is shaping up to be a blessing in disguise. If you stayed away due to some odd practices here in the past, come back and enjoy it with renewed vigour. Great Menu, good prices, really fantastic friendly service and well kept Shepherd Neame beers and guest ales.
