Not only a gifted floral designer: with a few deft and economical moves and accessories, Kate showed my class of senior community art students how to use locally-gathered greenery to make beautiful Christmas table centres for sale at their fundraising event for the local hospice. There were many satisfied customers, delighted students and a welcome boost of income to the sale of work.
