Originally passed my driving test back in early 2007 with my old instructor. This would also be the last year i tried using a car, which was a courtesy car later that year. The following 11 years I never drove or had much interest in doing so. After a relative passed their test with Paul in September last year, i was recommended to try some refresher lessons with Paul to get back used to driving, so in October 2018 I started some refresher lessons with him. On my first lesson I was understandably a bit rusty with the car functions/controls, but with Paul’s attitude and help I quickly got back into it. What stood out for me with Paul was his relaxed, yet enthusiastic and supportive approach to driving. Always keeping cool and having time to listen to anything you want to know and work alongside your needs, as well as being chatty and friendly about other subjects. I took around 8-10 lessons total with him and I quickly noticed my confidence and driving memory/skills greatly improve. This is due to Paul specialising in working with those who are low on confidence/anxious about driving. So with this I found myself able to go out in a car with little to no trouble after such a long time off the road. I even went on the motorway with Paul for the first time, which was challenging, yet very interesting and rewarding. This experience has also revived my interest in driving/cars. Highly recommended instructor.
