Members can use the workshop and all its tools & equipment for their own projects, or work with others on projects for community/heritage groups.
Help will be on hand for the safe use of equipment or advice on how to make or repair many items.
As well as a good range of tools and equipment facilities also include plenty of tea, coffee cake and laughter.
Our Aim is for all our members to:
1) Enjoy opportunities to socialise and make new friends.
2) Experience the camaraderie of working with others.
3) Put practical skills to good use and share them with others.
4) Try something new and learn new skills.
5) HAVE FUN
Members can be anybody (18+) who:
a) Enjoys 'tinkering about' in sheds and is looking for similar company. Novices or experts welcome.
b) Wants to use their existing skills, or learn new ones, or share their knowledge with others.
c) Wants to be engaged in projects for personal or wider community.
What type of projects do we undertake?
a) New or restoration projects working with local Museums, Heritage Groups and Community Groups.
b) Personal projects brought to the Shed by its members.
c) Work with wood, metal, plastic, fabric, electrical, electronics
d) Equipment repairs, mechanical and electrical.
