Business, myself and two colleagues, we will return, excellent value and service, only regret is not taking advantage of the leisure facilities, entirely our own fault

Upon arrival nice setting, reception looked fantastic, good atmosphere, unfortunately that's about it. I was appointed the room 253, the light fixing on the ceiling was out of place, not screwed in the way it should. Not a problem, then you have the heat thermostat, it seems it had been replaced, from where it had been moved the filler job carried out was no better than pathetic, holes, bubbles, not sanded down, the wall was painted dark purple with white filler showing, further more the paint job around the ceiling on the headboard side was just as bad. Then We go into the bathroom, flaking paint near the extractor, black mold on the bath seals, awful. Lastly the chef, I order dinner to my room at 8.00pm, I am told this will take around 30mins, I call back at 9.00pm and am advised the plate has just left, surely it cannot take a further 20 mins for the food to leave the chef and have it delivered to my room by which time it's 9.20pm. Clearly the order was forgotten, however just be honest and not give me a pathetic lie. Not even an apology from the chef. For me this was defiantly not worth the money paid. I feel if the hotel was hear the £50 Mark then I would rebook, however not at £100 per night,

Although the room cleaniness was fine, the bathroom was not. The plug holes and surrounding areas on both bath and sink were filfthy, also the shower screen were connected at the bottom was black. We had a long day travelling followed by meeting friends so was not prepared to deal with it that night, we did report it the following morning and if we were going to stay another night would not have stayed in that room.

One of the better hotels I have stayed in. At £134 for 2 nights, including gym and swimming pool, it was very reasonable. The hotel bar has a nice atmosphere, but across the road is a pub that does carvery, pub food, and the a very impressive dessert menu. £4.25 for the biggest slice of cake you will ever get... very good.

My recent visit was to see family with my girlfriend, everything was great about the hotel the room, the breakfast, and the bar/food. Room was cleaned and fresh towels daily, bed was really comfy too. Overall the hotel was very very clean, staff were friendly too. Located 5 minute drive from bury town centre,
There was no need for any heating in the room even though it was the middle of november, lovely view on the river and scenery from our window, it was quiet and peaceful, really enjoyed staying here. Would love to stay again.

Old hotel that's been updated but rooms are lacking in comfort and quality. No a/c, bathroom has mold/discolored shower caulk, entire bed moves away from the wall if you bump into it. worse thing ever was the 10-12 local basic tv channel selection with NO movies or pay-per-view options. I felt like I was in a hotel from the 60's. I waited in the bistro restaurant/bar for 30 minutes before I had to ask for service at which point he told me they were actually closed for 5 minutes. Full bar of people getting food brought out while I'm leaving and they couldn't take one more order?

Didn't realise this really isn't suitable for someone staying on business. Likes to style itself as a group party venue. I was looking forward to a relaxing swim etc. but way too tired in the morning as woken up constantly by group noise during the night. Didn't hear any staff keeping noise down (which must have been noticeable in foyer). If it was a Premier Inn I'd have got my money back, and I'm not that fussy. Was not asked how my stay was, which is why I've written this. Otherwise, hotel fine good for groups. Clean and comfortable, with good facilities.

Bathroom had dirty toilet and mould around the shower, not something I would expect in a £100+ a night hotel.
If you don't use the leasure facilites there are much better hotels near by for half the price.
