Stayed here for one night, quick check in, room as clean but I could of done without the fire alarm going off at 12.15am apparently for no reason. Soundproofing of the windows was terrible, we had a wedding going on downstairs, all I could hear was people shouting/talking outside.
I use this chain on a regular basis with work, time for a change??

I have stayed here a couple of times and enjoyed my time. The rooms are nicely furnished and come with useful appliances. The main point for me is the burgers served in the bar/restaurant area. They are brilliant and i have visited countless times just to eat them. I would definitely recommend it if you fancy a quick burger bite.

I paid nearly £100 per night for this room, and that is all you get, Breakfast is extra.

On arrival there is a self service checkin, straightforward to use, Just type in your name and it tells you your room and codes your key.

The room is the same as most other hotel chains.

It was warm, no AC, the bed was comfortable.

I ate in the bar, the burger was really good, but it was busy and noisy with football on big screens. There is a restaurant, I didn't use because it seemed expensive from the menu.
On the Saturday night there was a wedding party, and quite a few unsteady guests. Somebody set the fire alarm off in the early hours of Sunday morning. and then door slamming for the rest of the night.

There is an unattended check out, just put your key in a box, and they email your bill .

So the only member of staff that I spoke to was behind the bar wen I ordered food and drink.

Excellent facilities and food. The rooms are large, comfortable and well thought out, there was even a decent hairdryer! Room service was quick and the food good. Service throughout the stay was excellent. Recommended..

I stayed at this hotel on the last summer bank holiday weekend, as soon as we got there we was greeted by a member of staff who was lovely she also gave us a room upgrade as me and my partner have stayed at other village hotels. The room was big, clean, had all sky channels even some sky movie channels you’ll never get bored. The bathroom was clean.
We ordered room service on the first night it arrived quickly, the food was not the best I had a chicken breast with mash but my partner had the steak which he enjoyed. We had a carvery on the Sunday it was a buffet lots to choose from they had 3 choices of meat, vegetables, loads of desserts and it was for a good price.
The pool is big it’s very clean, we didn’t use the gym facilities.
They also have a Starbucks on site which is great for when I need my coffee fix.

This hotel stay was the first time we have stayed at a Village hotel and we were all very pleased with the experience
We were dropping off our son and his new wife for their honeymoon flight the following day
On our arrival we were greeted by the receptionist who offered us all a complimentary drink to start the honeymoon celebration
The rooms were bigger than expected and in very good condition
We ate in the Bar restaurant the food was for all 4 of us was excellent

Stayed one night and one day for large business meeting. On the plus side: Very nice staff, rooms good size with new-looking funky decor (despite slightly scruffy public areas), large meeting room with natural light, good value.
Downsides: Bedroom really dark, only one ceiling light (by door), only one bedside light (so just as well I was travelling solo), NO LIGHT ON DESK so impossible to see computer keyboard, or read or write anything on paper, and no ceiling light anywhere near desk either. I complained and had great service from a maintenance guy who went out of his way to help and found me an extra light, but he confirmed that normally there is no desk light. He’s the only reason this is a 3 star review and not very much worse. Other things: thumping music from gym in basement interfered with our meeting. Poor sound insulation in bedrooms, noise from rooms above and next door. Won’t stay again unless I have to. Management: please go to IKEA and buy desk lights for your guests, much more useful than having a fancy Dyson fan on the desk, especially in October.

This a nice spacious hotel, well located for access. There is plenty parkng available. The rooms were not huge but decent sized and the amenities in the room were fine. It was a comfortable stay. The meeting rooms etc were nice with good AV facilities. The only downside was that the staff were not very friendly, seemed 'busy' all the time. The 'politeness' that we have all come to expect from British hotels was missing. Sorry.

So me and my wife got married here on Saturday 22nd September. The venue was great, and I can't fault the wedding organisers. We had a few meetings beforehand and 2 different wedding organisers due to one of them leaving, however everything was passed over effectively and we had no problems with this. For the actual day everything was amazing, from the ceremony room to the main room where we ate. Everything was done on time, we had absolutely no problems at all during the day, apart from a slight issue with an outside company, so nothing to do with the Village Hotel. The food was lovely, and you can tell that everyone worked hard behind the scenes to make the day perfect. We stayed over for 2 nights, the room was nice, no issues there either. Thanks for the wedding gift! Anyway would recommend having an event here as it was a fabulous day, and big thanks to Louise, Kristina, Rodd and Laura who all were amazing on the day, thanks!

Stayed for two nights recently, was in a club room which was nice and clean, lovely soft pillows and comfy bed, had a coffee pod machine but wish you would supply hot chocolate pods as I don’t drink tea or coffee so pointless for me but my colleague who didn’t have one in her room enjoyed one.

Ate in the pub and the food was really nice, the flatbread pizza I had was very tasty and filling.

Breakfast was also really good with plenty of choice and all nice and fresh.

Could of done with some biscuits in the room.

Great location for me with work so will be stopping again and hopefully next time make use of the pool etc.
