Stopped for 1 night in December, couldn't fault it one bit.

The gent who checked me in at reception very helpful and friendly.

Room quite good although whilst watching sky sports it kept changing channel.

My wife and I got married here between Christmas and New Year and every aspect of it was excellent. We initially booked in early 2015 due to the very competitive package that was on offer, everything was customisable to our requirements and we were assured that the day would be all about us and everything would be done to make it special...and it was!

Warren and his team were in complete control from start to finish and every effort was made to make the event as stress free as possible. Everything we had planned was implemented to perfection and nothing we asked of them was too much hassle. They clearly had an excellent relationship with the local registrar, suppliers and entertainers who had all worked there previously which just made things even easier, everyone knew where to go and what to do.

We got married in the Holcombe Suite which was beautifully presented during the ceremony and the reception with more than enough room for our guests and entertainment. The food was top rate and many of our guests commented on how good it was. Of course we stayed in the bridal suite and again this was outstanding, a huge bathroom with his and hers sinks, massive bath, massive comfortable bed, perfect for winding down after such a great day!

I honestly can't sing their praises enough and would recommend anyone get married here.

Thanks again

It was my mother's funeral in Manchester, so stayed in the hotel as I live in London. The staff were friendly and helpful and the room were very clean and well furnished. As it was a stressful time we wanted to stay somewhere we could relax and get quality service, which this hotel provided.

The hotel is well located off the M66 and easy to find. Staff friendly and check in went very smoothly. Room very good but I was at the back of the hotel overlooking fields which meant it was quiet. Wifi reasonable and bed comfortable.

Restaurant - Oscars, was very good. My steak was very well cooked but a little pricey. Overall the food and wine were excellent. Service was very good and staff seemed to take pride in what they did. Breakfast was brilliant and the breakfast team were friendly and very helpful. Check out was painless and I would definately stay in this first class hotel again.

its a 10 out of 10 for a Champagne Afternoon Tea at The Red Hall Hotel, Walmersley. Very attentive but not intrusive table service and the professionalism shown by the operations manager Brian was excellent!

I stay here at least 2 nights a month during my travels for work. the rooms are always clean and tidy and the hotel service is always fantastic, i get a great nights sleep, the walls are a little thin but OK. great views over farmland at the back of the hotel. Plenty of parking on-site. well situated for motorway. PERFECT really.

The only let down for me is the restaurant service, the food i have to say is very good but the service needs to improve, I have visited to restaurant on many occasions, one time i was shown to my table then just left sitting there for 10 minutes or more with no drink or order taken so i just got up and left. i have waited 15 minutes for my plate to be cleared away whilst staff check their phones, i have waited 15-20 minutes for my breakfast order to be taken. the menu is kind of a la carte but the service doesn't match.
also, on all of these occasions the restaurant was at about 10% capacity so god knows what its like when its busy!.

We have visited Red Hall on the odd occasion when in the Manchester area and find it an ideal location outside of the city, yet with all the creature comforts we look for. The hotel is always spotless and the whole staff are friendly and welcoming. Oscar's restaurant always look after our little daughter and make her feel welcome and the food range is top class. I highly recommend Red Hall for business or pleasure.

We have stayed at the Red Hall on numerous occasions as we live close by and its nice to get away for the night. We only ever pay £50-60 each time which is a decent price.

The rooms are always clean and have everything you would expect to find. TV is just freeview which is a bit of a let down.

We also visit the restaurant when we go which used to be Legends and was fantastic but since it has changed to Oscars it has let us down, (I will write a separate review for Oscar's)

Overall, great hotel for a night away, nothing fancy but well worth the price and location is brill as well.
