The stay, overall, was more than satisfactory. The room was updated, nice little features here and there. The bed itself wasn't terribly comfortable but that's probably just down to personal preference. The size of the room, for a double bed, was really unexpected, in a good way. The shower was fantastic, great water pressure and lovely body wash and shampoo provided. The only concern I had with the room, which was minor, was there looks to have been some water issues / minor mold issues on the ceiling. Again, nothing major but something that should probably be looked at as it looked like they tried to repair / paint the ceiling to conceal it or take care of it.

Stayed in Club room (272j spacious but dimly lit. Comfortable bed, large shower. The swimming pool and gym area is spotless and pleasant. Breakfast OK Nothing special. The grill bar restaurant was very disappointed. Good location, great WiFi and free parking. Convenient just off the motorway. Shame they don’t have in-room safety deposit box.

Travelling for work I stay in all sorts of hotels but this ticked all the boxes. Chain hotels can be bland but this was far from. My favourite feature was the takeaway style room service.

Staff were very helpful and friendly, especially breakfast staff. Great that Gluten Free bread was available at breakfast. Bar drinks were expensive though.

Have stayed at this hotel manny times and have paid for upgrade but this time was given a upgrade set off to find my room and I was a very long walk to the room and iff you wanted food or a drink it was a long walk back the room was nice but the price midweek was £140 which I thought was very expensive Hotels .com as the cheapest beating the hotels own website

We have stayed at the Village previously and although the decor has changed, the 1 thing that stays the same is the amazing friendly staff! Although very busy and quite noisy on arrival due to a wedding crowd, check in was quick and the member of staff helpful. Room was comfortable. Bar staff in the evening are really great and there was a good atmosphere, but would have liked perhaps a slightly calmer option when so many kids were being left to run around. Liked the fact that there was some live entertainment, but a shame we couldn't hear the girl singing well over the general noise level. Breakfast staff were cheerful and the buffet kept well replenished.
