The hotel and rooms are pleasant, comfortable and clean but when we went it was very noisy. There were people shouting and chatting in the corridor outside our room until past 3 am. I know that’s not the hotel’s fault but even when they went into their rooms the noise continued as you could easily hear through the walls.
Breakfast: my main was lovely, my friend had scrambled eggs which were the palest I had seen and very overdone so she was disappointed. The continental offering was very poor, shrink wrapped cheese, poor quality pastries, very unappealing!
All the staff we met were very welcoming and pleasant.

Just returned from a 2 night stay at Red Hall Hotel, an anniversary gift from our daughter, our room could have done with a little TLC but it did not detract from our lovely stay there, the public areas were very attractive. All the staff we encountered were polite, helpful and friendly, the food was excellent and the breakfast menu superb, I highly recommend the Eggs Supreme, delicious! The night porter, Ross, was really kind and opened the rear door in dining room and loaned me his monocular to watch the deer grazing along the treeline. An absolute treat, thanks Ross. We highly recommend The Red House Hotel.

Stayed 2 nights for a wedding. Check in went smoothly. 2 single beds in room very comfy.3 coat hangers for 2 people to hang wedding outfits and 2 days /Night outfits!!!. Carpet in room was stained and needed a good clean or better still replacing.the bathroom !!!! I think its had a refurb but they forgot to replace the bath.where the bath panel meets the top of the bath was disgusting all it needs is a toothbrush to clean the gunge out.maybe the housekeepers need extra time in each room to get them up to scratch. We ate in the dining room on our first night. I had the steak and ale raised pie it was the best ive ever tasted. My 3 companions all had fish and chips which they all enjoyed but they could not eat it all( very large portions).we had breakfast 2 mornings could not fault it there was such a good choice. Full english, croissants and pastries, cereals, toast and fruit juice. The dining room and kitchen staff get 10 out of 10. But as i said earler housekeeping not up to standard 6 out of 10

Loveliest, warmest welcome and stay. I honestly have nothing but lovely things to say about this hotel. The staff all went above and beyond (we were with our 7 month baby and every single member of staff treated us and her with nothing but kindness and love - I genuinely felt like we were staying with friends and was sad to go). The restaurant/food is also amazing, would definitely recommended dining there. 10/10 stay. Thank you to all the staff for making our baby’s first hotel stay one to remember!

This was a two night stay for my husband and myself and our dog. We were made extremely welcome and the accommodation and food were both excellent.

I would have liked some prepared fruit for adding to my morning yoghurt - what was available was dried fruit and whole pieces of apples pears and oranges. So it was possible to make a suitable dish, but prepared fruit would have been better.

However the room was charming and as we were close to a rear door it was extremely accessible for the dog and the car park. The staff were lovely and very helpful.

Called for lunch as it was my 60th birthday. The food was superb, big portion and piping hot. There was a good selection on the menu. The desert was lovely. The service was excellent, service was quick. I would definitely call again in the future.

Went for afternoon tea with my mother. My dietary needs sorted efficiently and no problems. Staff friendly couldn’t do enough for us. Afternoon tea excellent. Will visit again. Had coffee, Prosecco sandwiches, sausage roll, scones and cakes. Had to bring some home for later.
