Hotel location was really nice, views of fields and a nice outdoor seating area.
Friendly welcome from the desk staff. Room pretty standard but clean. Ours had a nice view of the field of cows behind!
Downside.
Walls thin and bed/pillows uncomfortable. Woken numerous times by the guy in the next room snoring. Hotel is used for weddings ,functions etc so expect noise from guests and slamming of doors as they return to their rooms also.
Desk staff next morning offered complimentary breakfast as compensation, didn't accept. Just would have preferred a good nights sleep.

Excellent accommodation, very comfortable and pretty quiet, first class breakfast, helpful staff on reception and in the restaurant. We were overnighting on our way to Manchester airport and chose this hotel as we have been here before.

Worked book this hotel for me. The price seemed very reasonable including breakfast under about £50. I wondered what it was going to be like but I was very impressed. The building is very modern. Reception and checking in was very efficient. The double room had a very comfortable bed and I have a great night's sleep. The wifi was about 5meg and worked fine - wireless throughout and free.

Breakfast was a treat. Continental buffet or hot food a la carte. I had one of the best full englishes I've had in a hotel, cooked to order. Service was great.

Plenty of secure parking. I've stayed in hotels that cost 10 times as much per night and been less impressed by the service and I really think I had one of the best value hotel nights ever. I think they should consider charging more as I think they are underselling themselves.

I will have no hesitation in staying again if I am in the area.

My Son got married at this hotel on 13th August. he day went perfectly, the venue was lovely, room was lovely. Service was very good and the wedding food was excellent. The only slight negative was probably the bar prices, little steep I thought but overall it was excellent.

Really nice hotel in a great location. Easy access to M66 etc. Friendly atmosphere and very clean and well maintained rooms.
Only minor downsides were the walls seemed quite thin as we could hear a child talking loudly in the room next door. Thought she was using our bathroom too, when she washed her hands!!
Hotel doors were locked when we got back at 11.50pm so be aware!!
Really friendly and helpful staff though and would definitely stop again. Very good value for money.
Tip: visit the Transport cafe across the road for an excellent breakfast and homemade lunch!! :-)

I can't say enough about how lovely this hotel is. My husband and I were married here in May 2013 and the staff on the day were nothing short of brilliant. The hotel is kept extremely clean and tidy and the staff are all friendly and helpful. Whilst booking and organising the wedding the hotel did change coordinators a couple of times but I could always speak to Warren, the manager, and he was always available and helpful and actually oversaw our day personally. The food is always excellent, we have eaten here on numerous occasions and we are always left feeling full and happy. It is situated on a main road but the hotel was formerly a farm that was converted so the location cannot be helped. With this in mind it is nestled at the foot of a hillside and my wedding pictures were beautiful. The hotel has plenty of parking and the rooms are all modern and clean. My husband and I have returned to the hotel for the last couple of years for our wedding anniversary and we have never been disappointed, the reception area has even been re decorated since. Out of other hotels in this area the Red Hall is without doubt the best.

We stayed here for 2 nights with a Groupon deal. The staff couldn't have been more helpful-it was for my boyfriend's birthday and the receptionist kindly put up some balloons in advance of our stay and the restaurant staff were lovely, particularly Charles who seemed to work such long hours that we wondered if he actually lived there!
The restaurant was beautiful-our afternoon tea on arrival was scrumptious (confirmed by an elderly lady who commended us on eating it all and said she didn't know how we had managed it!). We had an evening meal whilst there and that was great too, although the staff started setting up for breakfast while we were still eating which felt a little strange.
The hotel room was lovely-very clean and with a gorgeous view and a comfy bed. The only slight issue with it was the thin walls-we could hear people talking and watching TV in the room next to us very clearly.
The location was very good, with some lovely places to visit nearby such as Ramsbottom. We also managed to end up on the dance floor of a lovely couple celebrating their wedding there too..! All in all, it was a delightful stay and we would definitely return if we were in the North West again.

The people on reception were friendly which was nice after a difficult six hour journey. The room was spotless and the power shower was top notch. Our room was on the ground floor which overlooked the car park. I left my husband in the room to rest while I went for a walk.I asked at reception where I could go for a stroll as I was unfamiliar with the area. Rather than risk life and limb crossing the busy road I did a tour of the car park and pleasant gardens. The Red Hall Hotel is obviously a popular for a range of events. It was just bad timing that we were there when a more happy event in the way of a wedding arrived. The evening meal was nice and so was the breakfast. Our sleep was disturbed by late arrivals. Doors were banging at 3am. Soft closing doors would be a good idea. We had arranged for afternoon tea so that the funeral party could get together. The food and service was good and well presented. The evening meal was good apart from a salad being served on a hot plate. The breakfast was good and unrushed.I appreciate that hotels are for multiple use, it's just on this occasion I was hoping for something more relaxing.
