Afternoon Bill. We have just had our Societies AGM for 2014 and we'd like to offer our thanks for a great day's golf with you on the 26th Sept. The course was superb and a pleasure to play with excellent panoramas of the surrounding countryside. The food was excellent, abundant and all were satisfied. Your staff were friendly and helpful on the day, something other courses could take the lead from you on. All in all, a great day's golf.

Hello John, just a quick email to compliment you on your golf course and warm hospitality. On the 28th September, Polyflor Golf Society held an event at Walmersley Golf Club. The society members were most impressed by the friendly greeting by yourself and the club professional. The breakfast was of a higher standard than is served up by other golf clubs. The course was in excellent condition. The view from the course of the surrounding countryside was also very impressive. The day was thoroughly enjoyed by every member of the society. We will certainly be returning next year.

Described (quite rightly in my opinion) as Bury's hidden gem, our society has returned in successive years since finding this course four years ago. It is a real treat and a challenge to all, high-mid-low handicappers, male or female. The support team at Walmersley are very friendly with nothing being too much trouble. Our day starts with an excellent cooked breakfast then a round on a tight, not too long but still challenging track. Up hill and down dale with some stunning views of the surrounding area. A kind word of caution - bring your putting 'A game' as the greens here are stunning and very true (and sometimes a tad quick). Our society, which has a range of handicaps from 7-28, have always thoroughly enjoyed the experience and we continue to re-book annually.

I am a member and week after week the course is in great condition thanks to the greens staff who do a brilliant job. It is a real test of golf all aspects of your game have to be on point if you are to score well.

As a member it is a joy to play all year round in near perfect conditions, best kept course in the area and a great test of golf.

The is well kept with great views. It's short length makes for an exciting days play, however with one half of the course being played on a right hand slope and the other on a left hand slope it forces big hitters to play a short and controlled game. Go wrong and you'll be punished.
